It looks like Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow and Kara Danvers aka Supergirl will be donning their older suits in Crisis on Infinite Earths. The Arrowverse crossover is entering its endgame in a few weeks. The CW recently released the final episode synopses for Crisis on Infinite Earths, promising massive changes.

At this point, Arrow does not need an introduction. The frontrunner of the Arrowverse, the show has given a number of character arcs to Oliver Queen. For season 8, Oliver has donned a new suit. In Crisis on Infinite Earths, Oliver played a key role in Part 1, sacrificing himself so Earth-38’s residents could escape annihilation. Although this seemed to be the end for him, Oliver is returning, seemingly as the Spectre. Over in Supergirl, although Kara hasn’t had the same level of deep character development, she has nonetheless gone through a lot. Like Oliver, Kara has donned a new costume for her latest season. In Crisis on Infinite Earths, Supergirl’s Earth was destroyed. Her role in the comic book storyline was important, so it remains to be seen what she does in the final two parts. Interestingly, it appears she and Oliver will be wearing older suits coming up.

On Twitter, Arrow star Stephen Amell posted a rather intriguing image. The picture shows him wearing an older suit, and Supergirl wearing her pre-season 5 costume. Check it out below.

It’s hard to say what the context of the image is. It could be time travel, some kind of vision, or simply them wearing their older suits for some reason. Some fans theorize the characters time travel back to the Invasion! crossover. It could also be a flashback, but that seems unlikely given the fact that Kara is sporting her current hairstyle in the image. The last part of Crisis on Infinite Earths will be on Legends of Tomorrow, so maybe something relating to time travel happens there.

The CW released the Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 4 trailer, promising big things. Post-Crisis, the Arrowverse looks to continue strong, despite the end of Arrow. Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman is getting his own show, and those who enjoy the world of Arrow are looking forward to Green Arrow and the Canaries. Of course, it’s not known how Crisis on Infinite Earths will impact The Flash and Supergirl going forward. Will Crisis on Infinite Earths end with the worlds being brought back, or just like in the original comic book, result in a unified galaxy? Fans will have the answer when the event concludes on January 14.
