The crossover is officially on its way as The CW releases the final trailer for the Arrowverse’s upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths event. Though the Crisis was first teased during last year’s Elseworlds crossover, this season has been when things really kicked into gear. As both The Flash’s Barry Allen and Arrow’s Oliver Queen are predicted to die during the crossover, both shows have dealt heavily with the impending Crisis. Both characters have also been visited by The Monitor, a god-like being who’s already begun to bring the heroes of the Arrowverse together.

The most recent episodes of Batwoman and Supergirl have also teased Crisis on Infinite Earths in preparation for next week, when the crossover kicks off. Both shows ended with the same scene showing Nash Wells of The Flash transform into Pariah. Supergirl also showed the return of Lex Luthor, who’s presumed dead by those on Earth-38. In the scene, Lex is in space with The Monitor, who suggests that Lex may stop his evil ways for the coming Crisis. However, Lex says they need to talk about his sister, Lena, first, setting up their roles in Crisis on Infinite Earths.

The CW has released several trailers and images for the five-hour event, which will also include characters from Legends of Tomorrow and Black Lightning. A teaser shared early last week gave fans a look at an old Batman suit. That trailer also showed Superman and Lois with their new baby. The Arrowverse’s Superman, played by Tyler Hoechlin, will be one of three to make an appearance during the crossover. Tom Welling will reprise his role as the caped crusader from Smallville, while Arrowverse regular Brandon Routh will take on the Kingdom Come version of Superman. Check out the final Crisis on Infinite Earths trailer below:

There’s a lot of new footage in this trailer that hasn’t been seen in previous teasers. Most notably, it shows just how important Earth-38 and Supergirl are going to be to Crisis on Infinite Earths. The entire Arrowverse team is shown at the DEO, as Lyla/Harbinger explains, Earth-38 is “where The Monitor wants you to make your stand.” The trailer also suggests that things may not go as planned there, as both Supergirl’s home planet Argo and Earth-38 are shown on a screen with an ominous “signal lost” sign flashing.

The final Crisis on Infinite Earths trailer also gives viewers a look at several of the previously announced introductions to the Arrowverse. Welling’s Clark Kent is shown meeting Hoechlin’s and The Flash can be spotted aboard Legends of Tomorrow’s Waverider welcoming Black Lightning into the fold. The trailer also confirms that Kevin Conroy, who was previously revealed to be playing Kingdom Come Batman, is indeed playing a version of the character who recognizes Batwoman’s Kate Kane.

The trailer’s focus on Earth-38 is especially surprising considering that Supergirl herself hasn’t yet been informed about the coming Crisis. Additionally, past crossovers have mostly taken place on Earth-1, as that’s the world the majority of the Arrowverse characters inhabit. It could suggest a bigger effort to bring the characters of Supergirl into the fold, which would be a smart move. Once Arrow goes off the air, Supergirl will be one of The CW’s longest running Arrowverse series and thus soldier even more responsibility going forward.
